History
Early in 1977, the congregation of Grace Baptist Church began the ministry of Grace Academy. Construction started in May on a 10,000 sq. ft. educational facility. The Academy officially opened the following September with 85 students in grades K through 6th. In 1978, enrollment increased to over 150 students, with grades expanding to include 7th and 8th. Between 1994 and 1997 Grace Academy experienced a 40% increase in enrollment. Enrollment has steadily continued and at present, having now been in operation for over 25 years, Grace Academy has more than 350 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth.
The facilities have grown as well. Today there are four educational buildings that include a 14-room educational facility, two athletic fields, computer lab, new library/multi-media center, art room, music room and a 22,500 square foot multi-purpose athletic, fine arts, and educational facility as well as a commercial kitchen that serves hot lunches daily.
