Mission Statement
The Mission Statement of Grace Academy is:
"Grace Academy impacts students by moving them toward knowledge and wisdom:
educating from a biblical worldview for this life;
evangelizing and equipping for eternal life."
Grace Academy strives for excellence in all areas. High academic standards make Grace Academy a challenge for all students. The overriding goal as a distinctly Christian school, is to affect the lives of students for Jesus Christ.
Goals
Grace Academy:
- Is committed to upholding the Word of God and fostering spiritual growth in students, families, and staff
- Seeks to enable students to achieve their highest potential through academic excellence
- Recognizes and accepts the responsibility of working with parents in the process of educating their children
- Seeks to attract and retain high quality Christian teachers, administrators, and staff
- Seeks to provide safe, up-to-date, well-maintained buildings and grounds which allow excellence in every program
- Seeks to offer diverse programs to develop well-rounded students through electives and extra-curricular activities
- Seeks to provide educational technology which will enable students to compete in a technological society
Philosophy
The philosphy of Grace Academy is based on the truth of the Word of God, and we believe all things can be understood only in the light of its relationship to God in Christ. We contend that Jesus Christ is the integrating principle of all knowledge because He created and sustains both mankind and the world in which He lives.
We endeavor to train the whole child academically, physically, spiritually, and socially. These are in keeping with the example of Jesus who "increased in wisdom, (academically) and stature (physically), and in favor with God (spiritually) and man (socially)" (Luke 2:52). Students are encouraged to seek the guidance and counsel of their teachers to achieve these goals.
Philosophy of Discipline
Discipline is training that corrects, guides, molds, and perfects the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our lives. Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." Discipline at Grace Academy is a ministry of love to perfect the potential of each child, which will enable him to become what God has planned for him to be. Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that insures the welfare, safety, and respect of all involved in the school community.
