Well, it is time to close out the Historical Tour blog. Today was a free day for the students and most used their time to shop on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Some of us went through the John Knox house, saw the Covenanters’ Monument, climbed Arthur’s Seat, went to the Museum of Scotland, and shopped. No matter what they did, most are very tired tonight and all are thinking of home. The students have had a great time but are ready to get back to what is familiar. They have all done very well adjusting to food and customs that are different. It will be fun for families to debrief with their sons and daughters discussing all that happened and what they thought. I want to thank Natalie, Kate, Ian, and Esther for contributing their thoughts on this blog so readers it would get different perspectives. Concerning photos, everybody gave Ian their camera memory cards and he downloaded them (then gave them back) onto a hard drive so that he can upload them to an internet site for all to view. He will work on that after we return and we will let students know as soon as it is available for viewing. As a reminder, we will arrive at Sea-Tac at 4:35 pm on Sunday (British Airways flight #49), but it will feel like 12:35 am on Monday to the travelers. See you soon.
