    Biographical Information

I felt a calling to teach from a very early age, which led to earning a BS degree from Seattle Pacific University in 1985 with an emphasis in Elementary Education. After a few years of teaching in Alaska and Massachusetts, I received a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State College in Massachusetts.

Several years ago, our family had the great adventure of becoming missionaries in Thailand. In addition to teaching first grade at a large Christian international school in Thailand, I received an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language from Seattle University. I enjoyed using English as a tool for evangelism while teaching in a variety of venues including an adolescent detention center, hospitals, Thai public schools, English camps, and villages.

Upon returning to Washington in 2008, our family has enjoyed involvement in our church and reacquainting ourselves with the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
